Meet Collin

“I help you with your relationship with food so that you can live a thriving life.”

“I’m a California boy at heart, born and raised.”

I’m a California boy, theatre artist at heart, turned entrepreneur. I love helping others live healthier lives and I love teaching them about nutrition. Plus, I was probably a dog in another life, so I’ll be your best pal and loyal confidante through the end.

While I have lived all over - California, Chicago, New York - I now reside back in my hometown in Cali. You’re likely to find me either in the kitchen (that one is most likely), playing with my dog, working out (you can find me on The Mirror), hiking, singing in my room, spending time with my family, or at the movies.

Growing up, I was lucky enough to have my mom who instilled the importance of healthy eating in me at a young age. I didn’t know much about nutrition at the time, but as I was finding my own path in my health journey, I eventually ditched the kids menu for salmon and roasted veggies at age 13. In High School, I took my health to the extreme and ended up developing an eating disorder called Orthorexia. Orthorexia is an obsession with eating healthy. You end up being so focused on eating a healthy diet that it becomes extremely restrictive, turning unhealthy. Due to this and also the fact that I simply was not eating a lot or having enough fats in my diet, I lost a lot of weight. Then, 2 years later, I went vegetarian. I lost even more weight. Then in college, I went vegan and once again lost more weight. I was 5’ 10” and weighed 110 pounds. Meanwhile, I was suffering from extreme IBS and digestive issues (cramping, bloating, nausea, acid reflux, etc). But, when I was in my 20s I took my health into my own hands. I went gluten-free (90% of my symptoms went away), I ate a lot and worked out 5 days a week and gained 30 pounds of muscle on a vegan diet, I changed up my diet and conquered the orthorexia mental burden that I had in high school and found a healthier and more energized me.

When I was 18, I moved to Chicago to attend Roosevelt University, CCPA and after 4 years, I received my BFA in Musical Theatre. You can learn more about my theatre career here. While pursuing theatre in Chicago, I would have so many of my colleagues and fellow cast mates ask me what my favorite recipes were, nutrition advice, and my favorite foods. I started a blog to support them in their wellness journey and eating well for shows.

Being a performer for the past 6 years, I become very aware of the demanding schedule, constant traveling, and hectic schedule that every performer leads. You’re auditioning all day in the mornings, going to work, prepping for the next audition or callback, sleeping and doing it all over the next day.

In 2019 I moved to New York City. After only a few months in the city, I started developing a very unhealthy work/life balance. I wasn’t eating well (sometimes skipping meals because of budget constraints), I was neglecting my love for fitness (which was also my way of managing my stress), and I was eating out a lot. It wasn’t until the Covid 19 pandemic hit in 2020 that I realized how unhealthy my lifestyle had become. Yes, I was eating pretty well given the constant on-the-go schedule, but at times I was snacking, not having a good meal, and neglecting time for my body and my soul to recover and recharge. My mental health started to decline. My anxiety got so bad that it was debilitating. After Covid hit the United States, it took me 9 months to finally realize that I needed to make some drastic life changes in order to support my body in getting healthy again. This led me to going to school for nutrition, moving back home to California, and starting my own business.

Wellness is a journey. You can always pivot and make changes. Heck, I completely pivoted when the Covid 19 pandemic hit and threw myself into my passion for nutrition and got my certificate as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. I am always learning and growing in my own health journey and I want to help guide you and be your cheerleader. You can achieve your health goals. You can live a life with boundless energy. You can have the body you have always wanted. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it - especially prioritizing your health.

Be Happy. Be Healthy.
